About a month ago Federal officials unveiled a five-year blueprint for the protection and restoration of the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Action Plan, as it is called, outlines plans to actively improve the Great Lakes as opposed to simply minimizing present dangers.

Michigan LCV Education Fund is a member of the Michigan Network for Children’s Environmental Health and has been working consistently with allies over the last few years on the Healthy Kids, Healthy Michigan campaign.

While in Washington, DC last week for the Healing our Waters annual Great Lakes lobby day, Michigan LCV staffers Lisa Wozniak and Kerry Duggan were delighted to see David Broder's column in the February 25 edition of the Washington Post.
