Celebrate Clean Water in Kalamazoo

Michiganders are gathering in Kalamazoo to celebrate clean water and a healthy Kalamazoo River and watershed.

That scene may seem far away, with the recent Enbridge oil spill near Marshall. Organizers of a first annual Water Festival in Kalamazoo on Saturday, Aug. 14, are moving ahead, however. 

Adopt a Beach in September

Before you know, it will be Labor Day, and the unofficial end of summer. 

Beaches in Michigan will still need your help, however. Take a moment to read about a Sept. 25 Adopt-a-Beach event being held around our Great Lakes by the Alliance for the Great Lakes. It's billed as the world's largest cleanup.
