The Rouge River has come a long way in the past half century --- from being so polluted that it literally caught fire to now playing host to a bug, the caddisfly, so sensitive to water quality that it can only be found in significantly clean waters and rivers.

Lana Pollack to Serve on International Joint Commission

Lana Pollack, a familiar face on Michigan's environmental and legislative scene, will serve on the International Joint Commission. 

Word is that Pollack will represent the United States on the IJC. Her position was reportedly confirmed today, June 22, by the U.S. Senate.
