Lana Pollack to Serve on International Joint Commission
Lana Pollack, a familiar face on Michigan's environmental and legislative scene, will serve on the International Joint Commission.
Word is that Pollack will represent the United States on the IJC. Her position was reportedly confirmed today, June 22, by the U.S. Senate.
Pollack's bio includes time as a state senator and president of the Michigan Environmental Council. She also was a co-founder of the Michigan LCV.
Pollack chairs the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Board and has served on the boards of NextEnergy, ReCellular and the University of Michigan’s Graham Environmental Sustainability Institute. She grew up in Ludington, on the shores of Lake Michigan and should be a great addition to the IJC, a binational agency that deals with boundary water disputes between the U.S. and Canada.
Congrats, Lana!
