World Affairs Council Brings Dr. Ocean to Grand Rapids

The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan's Great Decisions speaker series is bringing Dr. David Guggenheim to Grand Valley State University.

Dr. David Guggenheim (aka Dr. Ocean), will speak on "The New Green is Blue: What the Oceans are Telling Us and Why it Matters". Dr. Guggenheim is from The Ocean Foundation, in Washington, DC and he was recently featured on 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper. The feature highlighted Dr. Guggenheim’s restoration work on Cuba’s coral reefs. We look forward to having Dr. Guggenheim speak here in Grand Rapids on the state of the oceans as well as touching on the Great Lakes.

Monday, February 6th, 6:00 to 7:00 PM – Performing Arts Center at Aquinas College, Grand Rapids (enter off Robinson Road, just west of Plymouth Avenue).
